Renal Function Evaluation In this procedure, radioactive substances are injected into the body to evaluate both drainage and renal functioning with the radiation exposure being only 1/20th of an IVP. This procedure causes no allergic reactions.

1. 99m Tc-DTPA or 99m Tc-EC Renogram This procedure estimates Glomerular filtration rate (GFR), split renal functions, and evaluate hydronephrosis. It also focuses on transplant evaluation, donor evaluation, post-surgical evaluation of a previously obstructed system, Pelvi-Uteretic Junction (PUJ) obstruction, detection and follow-up of ureteric reflux and renovascular hypertension.
