Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot that forms in a deep leg vein that can sometimes become fatal. To remove this vein clot, a type of surgical procedure called Venous thrombectomy is done. This procedure involves surgical removal of a clot in the vein and is used to treat patients with deep vein thrombosis.
